The Hotel Casona de Bustiello is an early 20th century country house set up in the hills of Piloña where it offers panoramic views across the Ques Mountains. Built originally by Enrique de la Huerta Fernández, a native of Piloña who subsequently settled in México.Hotel Casona de Bustiello, Infiesto It is a building in a blend of two architectural styles: a typical Asturian country house with modern elements carefully added in. This combination gives the hotel a special ambience all of its own.

The reception of Casona de Bustiello leads into the drawing room, a comfortable place to relax with an extensive library, and a wide-screen television and video. The drawing room opens out onto a broad terrace from which guests can take in the magnificent views of the Ques Mountains, which make the setting of the hotel such an especially privileged place.

There are ten rooms in all, on two main floors and an attic. And it is these guest rooms that really make Casona de Bustiello sonething special. Each room is decorated in a different style, from the Renaissance to Art Nouveau. Large paintings and murals decorate the walls. On the top floor there are splendid attic style rooms reflecting a more rustic style, with the original wooden beams preserved and restored in the finest detail. All of the rooms offer their guests all the requisite luxuries, an atmosphere of peace and most important of all, comfort.

A lift makes all the floors readily accessible for those who find stairs a difficulty.

The area of Piloña is an outstanding one for nature lovers. The hills and mountains around are home to wild boar, deer, partridge and the unique Asturian horse-breed: the "ásturcon". The rivers abound with trout, salmon and eels, and there are large tracts of woodland filled with native species such as oak and chestnut.

Restaurant:

Casona de Bustiello boasts a spacious dining room with a friendly atmosphere, where the guests may enjoy a comprehensive buffet breakfast and a dinner menu full of genuine home cooking. Some typical dishes from the Piloña area are the cabbage stews (much better than it sounds!), potato stews, free-range chickens (pitos de caleya), local cheeses, or beans with clams. The hotel is proud to inform its guests that all the meat served in the restaurant is the renowned local Asturian meat. And finally, there are mouth-watering traditional desserts such as custards, rice pudding and hazelnut cake.
