Hotel Les Vinyes

A small village hotel in near Tarragona

Resting in the countryside of Alt Camp, surrounded by vineyards, you will find the tiny village of Vilardida, consisting of just a dozen houses and a church. One of those houses is Les Vinyes, a typical 19th century Catalan village house that has been sympathetically rebuilt to make a small rural hotel. Every characteristic and feature of the original has been carefully preserved.

Les Vinyes offers just four double rooms and two suites with their own terrace, all decorated in a typically Catalan rustic style and all offering modern comfort and facilities.

Even the heated indoor swimming pool eschews the usual colours and tiles for something sympathetic to its surroundings. In order to retain the comfortable and romantic ambiance, children under 10 are not accepted and no pets are allowed.

For a little extra pampering and relaxation, guests can enjoy a jacuzzi or sauna, or even have a body massage or facial in one of the two treatment rooms in the old wine cellar.

This hotel is perfectly located for you to enjoy both mountains and beaches, and it has easy access to airports and motorways (but far enough away to avoid the intrusion). For those who want their quiet evenings mixed with livelier or more cosmopolitan days, Port Aventura and the city of Barcelona are both within easy reach.

Restaurant:

The restaurant is open all year round for residents only. From January to April there is a house speciality called Calcotada (a typical local dish) using spring onions cooked with vine shoots in a romescu sauce. In summer, they produce refreshing dishes from the hotel's own organic garden, such as gazpacho, courgette soup and artichokes.

What We Say:

Not accepting small children may lose Les Vinyes a few clients, but we think it will gain them many more. This lovely old house is especially appealing to those of a romantic disposition.
