The Palacete de Mañara has all the hallmarks of a traditional little Spanish village hotel and restaurant, located in a delightful pueblo blanco village which is not too far from the coast and a great base for touring the spectacular scenery of the Serrania Ronda mountains.
The hotel dates back to the 16th century, when it was once the home of Miguel de Mañara, the man who inspired the story of Don Juan. Within the thick walls, the Palacete de Mañara now provides a comfortable hotel with traditional virtues and some new features too. There is a cafe-bar and restaurant in typical southern Spanish style, while outside the patio provides space for meals, sipping an aperitif or just sitting soaking up the sun, and it even has a swimming pool. Indoors, there is an ample lounge with lots of comfy armchairs, a little library and a television and DVD player (with a selection of DVD's in various languages). There is also a corner where you can connect to the internet to keep up with what is going on with the rest of the world.
The eight guest rooms of the hotel provide simple, comfortable accommodation, with air-conditioning, a television and a safe.
The little mountain villages in this area of Andalucia have a great charm, and offer wonderful opportunities for a touring holiday, fitting in the well-known places like Ronda and also some less well-known ones, like Montejaque itself!
Restaurant:
The a la carte restaurant is open for dinner and offers delicious food in a romantic atmosphere.Guests are able to opt for half-board, and there are also occasional special events such as barbecues. Under the new ownership of William and Maxine, the restaurant is being totally refurbished and a new chef will be bringing his own individual style soon. The cafe-bar serves tea and cakes in the afternoons as well as, of course, a great selection of drinks for the evenings.

Visitors can really feel at one with Andalucia in this little hotel, located in the centre of a typical village. There is a scattering of unspoilt villages (the "pueblos blancos") all around, impressive mountains and national parks like the "Sierra de las Nieves", "Sierra de Grazalema" and "Los Alcornocales", that offer a diversity of stunning landscapes, wildlife, walks and activities.Customer Feedback:
