The recently-opened Casa Romana introduced to Seville the concept of the boutique hotel, where just about everything the guest might desire can be made available. Beautifully detailed inside and out, the building echoes the traditional architecture of the city, while the interiors offer all the comfort and technology that one expects from a four star hotel of this calibre.

Deep interior patios allow light to flood down into the heart of the building. The public rooms are elegantly and comfortably furnished and provide ideal places to relax with a glass of fino after a day out sightseeing. Pillars and arches and Moorish tiles are there in abundance. Although a city hotel, Casa Romana doesn't ignore the inestimable satisfaction of just sitting outside in the sun for a while: there is a sun terrace and an outside jacuzzi.

The guest rooms are appointed to very high standards, and include modem connections and luxurious bathrooms alongside all the usual features. For even more luxury and space, there is the Alcazar Suite, an exclusive apartment complete with butler service and a view straight over the cathedral and the Giralda.

This is a perfect location for a city break, just two minutes on foot from the Plaza del Duque and Calle Sierpes and only ten minutes from La Giralda, the cathedral and the Barrio de Santa Cruz. It sits in the most romantic and bohemian part of Seville, right by La Alameda de Hércules.

Restaurant:

Like many city hotels, there is no restaurant at Casa Romana, just a breakfast room. The profusion of restaurants in the area around the hotel should be adequate compensation.
